We received questions from customers how Eaton will deal with the operating system Windows 10 used on our XP-504 devices.

Some customer mentioned that it can’t be used after Oct 2025…. BUT THAT IS NOT the case for our XP-504, we can use it until 2032.

To give you more clarity, product management created a document what explains the situation and can be found attached.

Windows 10 on XP-504

Dear Customer,

Microsoft’s “Windows 10 Home” and “Windows 10 Pro” operating system will reach the retirement date on
Oct 14, 2025 thru home and office use distribution channel.

However on Eaton’s industrial panel-PC “Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC” thru IoT distribution channel is used.
LTSC stands for Long Term Support Channel.
Products sold thru this IoT channel are not affected by the date mentioned above and are having different lifecycle.

“Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021” is available and supported until 2032.
